The people fear that when WFP continues buying relief food from the state, it may cause food scarcity and high prices in Lakes State.
They appeal to WFP to buy relief food from outside the state.
In an interview, a Sudanese trader in Lakes State says WFP has signed a contract with him to give food commodities to beneficiaries.
Chairman for Western Lakes State Chamber of Commerce, Gan Dhukpuou Malith, confirms that WFP asked permission from his office but the impact of high prices was not expected.
Citizens say Juba-Lakes State road is bad and vehicles cannot bring foods during rainy season.
They urge the state government to stop WFP from buying food commodities from the market.
WFP declined to comment on the issue.
