Police commissioner in Yei River State confirms the deployment of police to Nyori Refugee settlement in Lasu Payam of Otogo County.
Radio Easter quotes Yuosa Lujang Kamba explaining that the office has agreed to deploy 12 policemen to Lasu refugee settlement that will include two inspectors.
He adds that, earlier five policemen are already in the camp.
The General says they have signed a memorandum of understanding with UN agency for refugees to provide equipment, transportation and furniture to the officers.
Major Lujang mentions the senior police inspector will supervise police functions and respond adequately to them.
The police commissioner was speaking to Radio Easter on Thursday in Yei.
