International Committee of Red Cross or ICRC in partnership with South Sudan prisons distribute food and none food items to prisoners in Tonj on Wednesday.
Don Bosco Radio quotes George Gabriel Central Prison Director saying ICRC has been supplying food and none food items to prisoners in the country since 2016.
The director advises inmates to take care of the items because it is for their own use.
He appreciates the ICRC for helping development of structures in the prison.
A prisoner Knot Majur appreciates ICRC for supporting them with the basic needs.
Another inmate Regina Angong Athaui mentions some of the challenges facing women in the prison include lack of clothing and other basic needs.
ICRC has been distributing food and none food items to all prison services in South Sudan since 2016.
