The Ministry of Water and Rural Development in Tonj State, on Friday launched rehabilitation of one hundred and ninety-four boreholes with the support from International Committee of the Red Cross organization.
Director General Moses Muor Luol explains that his ministry is working hard to provide safe and clean water to the citizens in the state, Don Bosco Radio reports.
He reveals that assessment of water points is to reduce the conflicts among citizens in the town due to the shortage of water.
The director adds that water management team will be formed to follow up the maintenance of water points in the area.
The official urges the community members to take care of the boreholes and water points for provision of safe drinking water.
