Malaria cases are increasing in Rumbek State Hospital with many patients being children, Director of Rumbek Ministry of Health.
Doctor Barnaba Bol Amukpiu who is in charge of pediatric ward in the hospital told Radio Good News that before the rainy season the cases were few.
He on Wednesday reported that they tested many patients malaria positive daily in the ward as a result stagnant water.
Dr Bol cites seriousness of the national Ministry of Health in providing enough malaria preventive measures in the state.
The director encourages citizens of Western Lakes State to keep visiting the hospital when they feel the symptoms like fever, vomiting and loss of appetite for earlier treatment.
The Doctor was speaking to Good News Radio in Rumbek State Hospital on Wednesday evening.
