Citizens in Western Lakes State are feeling concern about the delaying rainfall this season.

According to Good News radio, this year rains have taken too long, causing anxiety as the majority entirely depends on agriculture.

Daniel Deng Mawut who worries about the absence of rain says he has been longing for it such that they start farming.

He fears that the absence of rain in Rumbek would be a blow to the lives of the citizens.

Mawut encourages citizens to have hope and keep waiting until God will provide rain.

One of the citizens, Monica Nyibec Ajuong, says it is her first time to witness such a terrible situation.

She says absence of rain would bring lack of food to citizens in the state.

Rainfall normally comes from April to October, however two months have gone by and no signs of rains.

The citizens made the remarks to Good News Radio on Thursday evening in Rumbek Town.
