Police arrests suspect involve in killing national security officer

Police in Rumbek confirms arresting a criminal suspected of involvement in killing one of the national security staff, after gunfire exchange in Eastern Bahr Naam County last week.
 
Chief Inspector of Police Makoi Amerdit told Good News Radio that National security forces were coming from Juba when they found a man being robbed on the road and their attempt to rescue let to exchange of fire with robbers. 
 
National security staff died on spot while one of the robbers who was wounded later died in Adol Primary Health Care after the armed robbery occurred on May 30, 2019 in Rumbek East, he explains.
 
Amerdit says the two men who sustained wounds are now taking medication in Rumbek State Hospital and will face law once they are discharged.
 
According to the Chief Inspector Mony Anyuon Mapuor, who was among the armed robbers, admitted that he was involved.
 
The Chief Inspector made his remark to Radio Good News in police main station earlier on Wednesday.
