The listeners of Don Bosco Radio on Wednesday appealed to people to avoid gossiping, but instead promote peace in South Sudan.

Majok Makuei stresses that gossips will lead people into wrong directions.

He explains that gossiping leads to unexpected war among clans and different tribes in South Sudan.

‘The country is witnessing bad practices that are being heard from others, but the best way is that people should not react on the rumours that are circulating around’, he notes.

Dhal Manyaar another regular caller says ‘we shall never experience lasting peace in our country when we practice such attitudes among ourselves’.

Akit Shanan advises people to shun hate speeches so that people could prosper in the country and cool misunderstandings.

He encourages all citizens of South Sudan to be good Christians and honest in the country.

The callers need South Sudanese to work for peace, love, consciousness and forgiveness among the people.

They were speaking over the phone call on Don Bosco Radio during morning break-fast show program in Tonj on Wednesday.
