The Diocesan Coordinator of the Catholic of Rumbek, on Sunday reminded the faithful that Jesus’ ascension to heaven is authentic and Christians should celebrate it with joy since he has defeated death.

Monsignor John Mathiang advises Christians to give glory to God because of the risen Lord who was taken to heaven, Good News Radio report.

It was not easy for Jesus to suffer until he rose from the death, he adds.

The Diocesan Coordinator encourages Christians to always be ready to face challenges of life and endure them with hope that Christ will again change the situation to better.

He advises that people have to avoid hatred, division, frustrations, difficulties and trust in the Lord.

Monsignor Mathiang appeals to the worshippers to take part in activities that can improve their living conditions.
