The West Nile Region Chairman and Residential District Commissioner for Uganda, says they want to be witnesses to the peace process in South Sudan.
Andama Richard explains that they are in Yei to show their commitment to the signed revitalized peace agreement, Radio Easter reports.
He adds that they are in South Sudan to work as a team with the government of the South Sudan to realize lasting peace in the young country.
The District Commissioner says they want to be ambassadors of peace in South Sudan to send positive message of calm in Yei to people of the state in camps in Uganda.
He encourages development partners to return to the ground and give support both locally and internationally.
Commissioner Richard spoke to Radio Easter during the closure of the cross-border meeting on Friday in Yei.
