The government of Yei River State and authorities of Uganda has launched Joint border security committee on Friday in Yei.
Speaking at the event chairman of West Nile Residence district commissioner Andama Richard appreciates Yei governor for his efforts to work for peace in the region.
Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony says the cross border meeting is very important and it will safeguard the people of Yei River State and Northern Uganda especially West Nile
The joint security committee will have fourteen (14) members seven from each side.
The members are tasked to oversee the security issues of the two regions and will serve for one year.
