Justice and Peace Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Torit conduct round table discussions on women’s participation on the Peace process.
The two days conference aimed to implement Community Empowerment to Promote Peace Resilience and Good Governance in the area.
The peace officer Chandi Richard says the debate focuses on the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 that emphasizes protection and full participation of women and girls in the Peace deal.
Chandi calls on Peace partners to jointly lobby for projects that strive to bring peace in South Sudan.
The round table discussion was attended by representatives from the Civil Society Organization, Women and Youth Association and other CBOs in Torit.
