The Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Committee or RJMEC is appealing for the timely payment of the pledged amount of 100 USD million to the National Pre-Transitional Committee, or NPTC.
The TGoNU pledged to give one hundred million USD to help facilitate the process of security mechanism, operationalization of cantonment, training and deployment of necessary unified forces.
During the RJMEC meeting, Chairman L.T GEN. Augostino S.K Njoroge also calls for transparency and accountability in utilizing the funds.
He says the process of cantonment areas is key to the pre-transitional period.
Njoroge appeals to parties to allow CTSAMVM free and unhindered access to verify the number of troops and their locations.
Njoroge was talking during the opening remarks of the 6th RJMEC monthly meeting on Tuesday.
