It is time to cultivate to get rid of hunger, Head of UNMISS Field Officer tells farmers in Wau State.

Voice of Hope Radio quotes Sam Mahmuri saying is now the moment for people of South Sudan to be proud of Wau State in terms of food security through cultivation.

He adds that people should work hard in cultivation because the state is likely to suffer from famine.

Mahmuri urges the displaced people not to rely on the humanitarian assistance, but on the agricultural products that come after they work hard.

Meanwhile representative of Food and Agriculture Organization William Paul, points out that there is lack of officers in the agricultural fields who can help farmers.

He calls on all organizations who are working in agricultural fields to train the farmers for a better production.

Paul encourages communities that there is need for people to work hard and cultivate for a hunger to free nation and especially Wau State.

The speakers were addressing citizens during the launch of agricultural season at Rabata Playground.
