The humanitarian situation remains critical in many parts of South Sudan, especially access to basic services, says International Committee of the Red Cross or ICRC.
The Committee in its highlights between January and March 2019, cattle raids; inter-ethnic violence and revenge violence have also provoked new population displacement in some areas.
The ICRC says it is responding to emergency needs and build the resilience of local communities by supporting livelihoods and adequate basic services.
It says with the South Sudan Red Cross Society they distributed 2,350 metric tons of food and gave seeds and gardening tools to 71,000 people.
The agency adds that it helped 887 disabled people countrywide.
