Catholic Bishop launches coffee plantation in Yambio

The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio on Sunday launched coffee plantation to conserve the environment, work together and mitigate poverty among people
 
According to Anisa Radio, the event took place during silver jubilee celebration of Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala.
 
The Bishop calls upon Christians to honour, respect and obey God during the plantation of the coffee because He created trees before human beings.
 
He says some people failed to succeed in life because of their laziness and claim it is the will of God but it is not.
 
The catholic prelate appeals to the government, NGOs and South Sudanese to embark on planting different fruit trees that can generate incomes for them.
 
Gbudue Information Minister, Husain Enoka Ibrahim appreciates the Catholic Church for the initiative that can bring development to the state.
 
He says with the revitalized agreement, the state government is committed to peace and is currently working hard to reopen roads to villages for free movement of citizens to their farms.
 
The Catholic Diocese on Sunday gave coffee seedlings to government officials, UN representatives, NGOs, CBOs, offices and individuals to plant in their various places in Yambio.
 
All 27 parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura–Yambio are tasked to plant 1000, Centers 500 and Chapels 250 coffee trees this year.
 
Members of the general public were invited to go to Bishop resident in Yambio to collect the seedlings.
