South Sudan Defence Force or SSPDF is calling on their counterparts SPLA in Opposition and every South Sudanese to stop fighting one another and move forward to reconcile.
Brigadier General Cornelio Abel Ochira Lomilomoi was speaking during the occasion of the 36 anniversary of Sudan People’s Liberation Army.
He says Cobra Division in Torit is committed to peace with significant progress of security situation in the state.
General Abel says the deployment of forces outside the town was meant to maintain security but not to cause fear amongst citizens.
Earlier, Torit West County SPLA-IO Commander for Anyanya division Major General Patrick Ohiti called on government forces to cooperate to maintain security.
He says maintaining security is a collective responsibility of both government and IO forces.
