Lawyer asks for establishment of reformatory for juveniles in Rumbek

The Secretary for Peace and Justice Department in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek requests nongovernmental organizations or NGOs and government to establish reformatory school for the children to improve their academic future.
 
Lawyer Malith Jok Thiang Wundit challenges child protection organizations for not making the use of funds appropriately to safeguard children below 18 years in the state.
 
Jok appeals to the government and NGOs to lobby for funds to establish schools that will reform teenagers who committed crimes in the state and the country at large.
 
The lawyer requests that the organizations that are dealing in child protection to train police and prison officers on what the law details to children less than 18 years of age.
 
He points out that utilizing funds to make workshop will not help at all.
 
The speaker made the remark to Good News Radio during the talk show on Monday in Rumbek.
