Citizens of Wau State expressed their feelings concerning the 16th of May, saying it reminds them of the struggle for freedom and hope for a peaceful celebration this year.
According to Voice of Hope Radio, they reiterated that 16th of May is the day that people should all stand up to remember all martyrs for the great job they did.
The citizens add that the martyrs died because of South Sudan so they should be remembered for losing their precious lives.
The citizens made their statements to Voice of Hope Radio on Monday.
