A delegation from the South Sudan Council of Churches on Monday met the Yei River State government.
Speaking after the meeting, deputy governor of Yei River State Yusto Baba appreciates the visit, Radio Easter reports.
He describes the visit as historic because it gives the state government strength in the implementation of the peace agreement.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe, Catholic Bishop of Yei appreciates the visit because it reawakens their efforts for peace.
Bishop Paride Taban, Emeritus Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit says the visit is to strengthen the leaders and the citizens.
He adds that his visit is also to deliver the message of Pope Francis during the visit of the South Sudanese leaders to the Vatican.
The South Sudanese Council of Churches delegation includes Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban, Bishop Enok Tombe the retired bishop of Rejaf among others.
