Minister warns students to step away from politics

Western Lakes State Minister of Education, who also is the state’s deputy governor, on Thursday, advised students to leave politics and instead give their efforts to studies.
 
Referring back to the past, the minister accused unnamed politicians of using students in 2012 in Lakes State to destroy public assets through protests, Good News Radio reports.
 
Addressing the meeting at Abukloi Secondary School, William Koji Kirjok encouraged learners to shun politics as early as now.
 
The minister urges South Sudan’s politicians to be people who can advise and encourage citizens to prioritize agriculture to combat hunger in the country.
 
He reveals that politics is not about to destroy lives of your own people.
 
On Monday students of Rumbek National Secondary School fell out with their school administration when they call for change of leadership in academic affairs, resulting to strike.
 
The school was closed down for three days until the matter is resolved.
