Rumbek Youth and Sports Association in collaboration with Norwegian People’s Aid on Monday organized cultural peace festival on the rights of children and women in Western Lakes State.
The occasion was to promote human rights and peaceful co-existence among the young people in Rumbek.
Western Lakes Minister of Information Majak Ror appreciates Rumbek youth and sports association for encouraging sports activities.
He reveals that sport activities are the only ways that can unite people in Western Lakes and South Sudan at large.
Norwegian People’s Aid, Mary Folla says their people are proud to be a partner with Rumbek Youth and Sports Association in promoting peace in the country.
She calls on young people to engage themselves in sports to bring peace and unity in the country.
Over 200 people attended the ceremony including government officials, Ager-gum dancing group, Agar Madong, Akon Buoi and the players.
