The Vice President of the Republic describes the late Alfred Taban Lo-Gune as the most ardent supporter of total peace in South Sudan.
Dr James Wani Igga while addressing mourners during the requiem mass at All Saints Cathedral in Mobil, Juba on Thursday evening, said Taban had been preaching about peace as a member of National Dialogue Committee.
He urges South Sudanese leaders to learn from Alfred Taban Lo-Gune the path to peace and refrain from destruction.
The Vice President advises journalists to follow the principles of Alfred Taban of telling the truth.
Dr Wani Igga says Alfred Taban should enter into the first page of the history of South Sudan for his hard work in the liberation struggle that resulted into independence of the country in 2011.
He consoles all South Sudanese particularly Kajo-Keji people and the family that will miss him.
The Speaker of National Assembly, Anthony Lino Makana notices that the parliament progressed greatly because of active participation of Alfred Taban.

Alfred Taban’s body is now at the National Assembly for his fellow MPs to view and pay their last respect.
The remains of the late MP and veteran journalists will be flown to Kajo-Keji on Saturday for final rest.
