The President of the Government of southern Sudan said the south is not a safe haven for northern rebel leaders.
Addressing the press yesterday in Juba, Salva Kiir Mayardit said his government sent the Darfur rebel leaders out of Juba, Bakhita Radio reported.Mr. Kiir explained that the SPLM is not the leader of the northern oppositions.
President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir said Khartoum would not support southern oppositions.
Mr. Al-Bashir explained that Khartoum had negative experiences by supporting oppositions in Ethiopia, Eritrea and Chad.
The two leaders were speaking yesterday in a press conference at the end of Mr. Al-Bashir’s visit to Juba.
