Gbudue Ministry of Health in partnership with World Health Organization or WHO and United Nation Children Fund or UNICEF trained 278 health workers on polio vaccination in Yambio.

Juma Richard, a supervisor, says the aim of the training is for immunizers to use the vaccines accordingly and educate communities on importance of vaccines to their children.

He calls upon communities to let their children go to vaccination centres so that their kids can grow healthy.

Sarah Ezekiel Kilyoba, one of the participants, says the immunization program is good for the children to avoid being paralyzed by polio.

The one-day training concluded on Wednesday at St John Town Church in Kuba residential area.
