A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit encourages believers to love one another in a similar way God sent his son to die on the cross to save lives in the universe.
Fr. Anthony Ubeyo on Easter Sunday urged the faithful to change their attitude of hatred and violence towards their neighbours, society and families.
He told Christians to stop jealousy against fellow human beings.
‘Today we are celebrating the day of the lords resurrection, brothers and sisters we are still in the world, our attitude must change toward our neighbours, we should not have hatred in our hearts toward our neighbours, we should not be violent to our neighbours, we should not become bronze hearts and misbehave in our families and in the society, we should not be envious and jealous with people because God has entered to our life and changed our life we are to come different people’ he explained.
Fr. Ubeyo says many places in the world still experience violence, discrimination, injustice which divides the population.
He advises the congregation to distance themselves from bad practice of killing for peace to prevail in the state.
The catholic prelate made the statement in his preaching during Easter Sunday celebration at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Torit.
