State Minister of Health in Tonj has shut down some pharmacies due to lack of proper documents and poor quality of medicine they sell.
Abak Yel Madoot told Radio Don Bosco that the ministry closed down some of these pharmacies because they are mixing human medicines with veterinary drugs.
Abak stresses that students are not allow to be employed at pharmacies.
She warns pharmacists operating without permission and the required document to follow the right procedure.
Since 2018 eleven out of 18 pharmacies were shut down due to lack of professional conduct.
‘Every person should read the prescription of the medicine carefully before using it to avoid any complications with the drugs during treatment,’ she advises
The official made the remarks during an exclusive interview with Radio Don Bosco in Tonj on Friday.
