Association for Media Development in South Sudan or AMDISS with support from Norwegian People’s Aid on Thursday organized a two-day seminar to reporters of Good News Radio on peace journalism in Rumbek.
AMDISS Secretary General Josephine Achiro says she is in Rumbek to make follow up on activities of peace journalism they have been doing in the state.
Achiro states that the seminar aims at helping journalists to servie community radio stations with knowledge on peace journalism.
She appreciates the journalists for their commitment towards serving the community and urges them to continue with that spirit.
Achiro appeals to the general public not to take media as an enemy, but tool for transformation in the society.
She urges the public and the government to freely talk to the media since it is the bridge between the government and the people not an adversary.
The two- day training is expected to conclude on Friday.
