Unidentified man in Ikpiro residential area of Yambio County raped a five-year-old boy on Monday on his way back from school.
The boy is a pupil in Nursery School in Ikpiro Anisa Radio.
According to Justin John, a family member, the boy was returning alone from school and unidentified man stopped him and took him by force to the bush near South Sudan Hotel.
John says he took the boy to the hospital and reported the case to the police.
John Zenone, a social worker on gender-based violence working in Yambio Hospital confirms the incident to Anisa Radio.
Zenone mentions that 20 cases of different forms of have been recorded in the center between March and April this year.
He calls on the public to report any rape case within 72 hours for immediate medical assistance.
Anisa Radio effort to reach the police commissioner for comment was not successful and could not get any information about the perpetrator.
