The Director General in the Ministry of Education in Yei River State says he is happy for the formation of the new South Sudan curriculum.

Amule Felix Sosten expresses his happiness during the conclusion of the new curriculum and textbooks orientation in Yei, Radio Easter reports.

Amule appeals to teachers from Yei to be considered in setting of national exams to avoid errors.

The Director-General calls for broad involvement in setting national examinations to avoid errors.

‘About three years, none of our teachers have been taken for summative assessment setting. We felt this is an area that we should be involved so much in it. If those setting examinations are got from the thirty two States, then we are part of the thirty two states. If they are not, then we are saying, the setters must always be the teachers of the respective subjects of the respective States. The teachers should be the once setting examinations, but not a body that is not known. For example, if you give students in JUBA University to set examinations, while the teachers who are teaching in the state are different in the state is not right’.

Felix calls on everybody to work for the unity of this country for people to prosper.
