Community of Pari in Lafon County is calling upon Torit State government to intervene in bringing all those perpetrators involved in the recent conflict in Ohiri village that claims 20 lives and wounded several others.
In a letter dated 27th March 2019 addressed to Torit State Governor subjected report on incident of the 24th March 2019 at Ohiri village, Pari community strongly recommended an investigation into the incident, Radio Emmanuel reports.
The 5th page of the letter request that an independent investigation committee be formed to dig into the root causes of the problem.
‘The investigation committee should exclude members from Pari and Otuho communities to produce credible and realistic results in order to resolve the conflict for peace return to the area’, the letter read.
