The Commander of Northern Zone in Yambio County is asking communities to open up roads in demarcated areas for easy patrol.

Major James Paulino says the combined force find a lot of difficulties during night patrols, because some internal roads are closed with crops among other obstacles.

He urges residents of northern zone to cooperate with the forces and give them accurate information about the security situations in their areas.

Major Paulino was reacting to the public outcry that no patrol is taking place to counter crimes in the residential areas.

Some residents from Ikpiro spoke to Anisa Radio and complained that some thieves are breaking into houses.

Northern zone covers Ikpiro, Napere, Tindoka and Kabash areas.

It is one of four security zones created by the government to curb insecurity and crimes in Yambio County.
