The prices of seeds and agricultural tools have gone higher as rain season starts in Yambio.
Gima Mathew, tools and seeds seller says the prices are increasing because of high demand especially during the rainy season.
Mathew adds that the price of one gallon of maize is between 300 and 350 SSP.
The seller says a gallon of groundnuts locally produced in the area is sold at 390 SSP while those imported from Wau are sold at 400 SSP.
As rain season starts, many authorities are urging the people of Gbudue State to embark on agriculture to fight hunger.
