The Catholic Diocese of El-Obeid has announced with deepest heartfelt sorrows the untimely death of its Emeritus Bishop Antonio Menegazzo.
In an email received by Voice of Peace Radio on Friday, it says Bishop Menegazzo died at Padova, Padua, Italy on Wednesday 20th March 2019.
The late Bishop Menegazzo was born in 13 Sep 1931 and died on 20th March 2019.
Late bishop Menegazzo was the Apostolic Administrator of El Obeid diocese.
He had served in different parishes as a priest from 1st July 1957 to 1972.
Sts Peter and Paul Parish Priest of Gidel, Fr James William Silgat says the Eucharistic celebration for the soul of the late Emeritus Bishop will be on Monday 1st April 2019 at 4:00 Pm in Gidel Parish.
Father William is requesting all the faithful to go and attend the requiem mass.
