Internally displaced Persons or IDPs at Mahad IDP collection centre are appealing to citizens for peaceful coexistence.
The chairman of the camp Mayen Kur says they have people from different ethnic backgrounds living at the centre since 2014.
Kur adds that such a peaceful coexistence can be replicated in their places of origin for peace to prevail in the country.
Dinka community women’s leader Rhoda Nyarek says women also play a great role to enhance their peaceful stay in the camp.
Nyarek adds women carry out activities that brings them together and attends weekly meetings to iron out their differences.
Mahad IDP collective camp is located in Konyokonyo, boma; kator payam in Juba County and it is a home to over 7,000 thousand IDPs in the country.
The center hosts three major ethnic groups namely Dinka, Murle, Anyuake. There are also Shiluk, Nuer and bari who are part of the bigger community.
