The Catholic Archbishop of Juba extended the 101 Days of Prayer for a Peaceful Referendum in Sudan until the end of the vote on self-determination.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro told yesterday the congregation at Lirya parish in Lella that the programme of prayer for peace was extended from January 1 to January 16 to cover the referendum vote.Archbishop Lukudu revealed that the prayer marathon for peace that started on September 21 will be concluded officially on January 16 to present to Christ the ballot papers marked during the polling and wait for the final results.
Archbishop Lukudu advised the faithful to cast their ballots and wait for the referendum result peacefully.
The archbishop made these statements during the celebration of an ordination to the priesthood.
