Tonj and Wau governments trade accusations over civilian’s conflict

The governments of Wau and Tonj States have accused each other over the recent conflict between farmers and cattle keepers in Kuarjiena County.
 
Speaking to Don Bosco Radio over the telephone call the commissioner of Kuarjiena in Wau State Barjuok Ucu accused the cattle keepers of been the cause of misunderstanding between them and resident of his county.
 
The commissioner confirmed that two people were found dead one from Tonj and the other one from Wau killed by unknown people.
 
He blames the cattle keepers in Kuarjiena of violating Marial Bai Agreement.
 
Meanwhile minister of Information of Tonj State William Wol Mayom denies the report of Kuarjiena County Commissioner.
 
He says the incident that happened between the community of Tonj and kuarjiena was a mere lie.
 
The minister urges the two states to live in peaceful co-existence and respect the revitalized agreement.
 
He advises both communities to spread the message of peace to each and every citizens of south Sudan.
 
The officials made their remarks in an interview to Don Bosco Radio in Tonj on Friday.
