The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio Bishop on Wednesday launched the Lenten campaign in the diocese during the celebration of the Ash Wednesday.
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala stressed on the importance of the season urging Christians to follow the guidelines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, Anisa Radio reports.
He advised the faithful to take good care of themselves and work together for development during this period.
Bishop Hiiboro was speaking during the celebration of the Ash Wednesday at St Mary’s Parish in Yambio.
