The Archbishop of Khartoum during the consecration of Bishop Stephen Martin Ameyu Mulla in Torit calls on priests to devote themselves to serving God.
Archbishop Michael Didi stresses on the need to keep and reflect on the promises made by various priests during ordination, Radio Emmanuel reports.
‘I want to say something to the priests of course you reduced your commitment an elegant and respect and obedient that you took during your ordination when your ask will you obey and you said I will. Now I think there is a question here because sometime we priest just go against the pronounce in front of God and in front of the people just easily like that there is something wrong there so when Bishop Stephen appoint you to go to Kapoeta don’t say I am going to Magwi you have to go to Kapoeta because he have told you to go there’ he notes.
Archbishop Didi explains that peace can only be attained through actions instead of words.
He urges Christians to continue praying for peace in the Country.
‘Sometimes I review some terms that we use to pray for peace we sometimes can do thing that can make peace disappear that is why I say we are looking for peace I don’t think it is a correct term to use that we are looking for peace because is there only that we refuse it by our way of doing thing or acting and so it doesn’t take if we play the request wrongly surely we will not get any good answer’, he stresses.
Archbishop Michael Didi was speaking to the congregation in Torit on Sunday.
