United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS on Tuesday conducted seminar to sixty police officers in Rumbek, Western Lakes State.
UNMISS Community Policing Team leader, Rodolfo Esperidia says the training will focus on roles of police in reporting gender-based violence issues in the community, Good News Radio reports.
He adds that the police needs to be prepared on human rights and international laws.
Esperidia advises the participants to be independent in their work as government forces.
The three-day workshop brought together sixty participants from four counties of Western Lakes State.
