The Governor of Amadi State is appealing to humanitarian organizations to assist his citizens affected from recent conflicts and lack of rains last year with food and water.
Joseph Ngere Paciko says last year rain failed in eastern parts of Amadi that led to serious hunger and lack of water in the state, Anisa Radio reports.
He mentions that areas like Kadiba, Lakamadi; Adikere and Mvolo are mostly affected.
The government is working hard to address the issue including implementation of the revitalized agreement so that children who lost their parents during the conflict will go back to school, the governor notes.
He points out that Amadi State is relatively calm and citizens are moving freely without difficulties.
The official was speaking to Anisa Radio in a telephone interview from Amadi State.
