Over 100 national staff of Co-operative Bank of South Sudan are striking because of general welfare issue.
The officials say they are on the sit-down strike until the administration meets their grievances.
Anonymous staff says they started raising their concerns to the management to address their issue since 2016, but no positive respond.
The staff says they tried all possible options with the management of the Bank but the response they get were not convincing.
The employee adds that with the current economic situation in South Sudan, the salary cannot sustain them.
Another staff regrets that the national staff feels that they are undermined because they raised their concerns but are not addressed.
Another anonymous staff says the national officials resolved that their salaries should be increased by one hundred and fifty percent, or an amount that can meet their demands in the market, but all went in vain.
CRN went to the Ministry of Labour for comments, but was told the concerned official went for a meeting.
