Western Lakes State Ministry of Health in collaboration with UN children agency or UNICEF on Wednesday trained vaccinators on interpersonal communication skills.
The course aimed at enabling them interact well with care givers during immunization campaign.
EPI Director in the ministry, Simon Makoi says the training is very important to vaccinators to motivate mothers to bring their children to health facilities.
He adds that vaccinators are the key people who will help the Ministry of Health with data about the outbreak of diseases in the community.
The EPI Director says protecting children from diseases is a very heavy work.
He calls on vaccinators to have spirit of team work and do well in their professon.
The workshop drew about 58 participants from Rumbek East, Rumbek Centre and Rumbek North.
