Zanzibar is hosting the East African Legislative Assembly or EALA forth meeting of from February 18, 2019 to March 8, 2019.
EAC Secretariat in a statement says President of Zanzibar Ali Mohammed Shein is expected to officiate a special Sitting on February 26.
Key items at the sitting include debate on the East African Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2019 and the consideration of various key committee reports.
The Assembly is also expected to receive a briefing by the EAC Secretary General on the status of EAC projects.
The Sitting is also to be mix together by exact Committee work with all six committees reviewing pertinent issues that precede debate next week.
The six committees include Accounts, Agriculture, Tourism and Natural Resources and General Purpose
Other committees are: Regional Affairs and Conflict Resolution, Communication, Trade and Investment, and Legal Rules and Privileges
The House will also meet EAC Kiswahili Commission and the Inter-University Council of East Africa on the cards.
The Assembly embraces the principle of rotation to create awareness of its work.
Zanzibar earlier hosted EALA meeting in October 2016.
