A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Yei on Sunday says people of South Sudan are hungry for peace especially those in Yei River State.

Radio Easter quoted Fr Alex Lodiong Sakor during his homily says citizens need peace.

He advises them to pray daily and remain hungry for peace.

Fr Lodiong explains that there are some people who are not hungry for peace because they want the bad things to continue in order to be rich using people’s property.

He says many people cried for peace in South Sudan and will continue to cry because of the ongoing killings in the country.

Fr Lodiong encourages the people to cry with love and faith in order for God to release peace in South Sudan.

The priest made the remarks on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
