The faithful in Tonj State on Thursday celebrated the feast of John Bosco with joy, love and unity.
Speaking to Don Bosco radio during the celebration youth from different chapels under Tonj Secret Heart of Jesus Parish came together to celebrate the feast of Saint John Bosco, dabbed ‘Father of the youth”.
According to young people in Tonj, John Bosco was one of the Saints popular known for his kindness and devotion to mother Mary.
He is the founder of the congregation of Salesians of Don Bosco.
Deputy choirmaster at Secret Heart parish, Angony Dut Angony stresses that the feast is a reflection of the good things done by John Bosco.
He mentions that St. John Bosco was a father and teacher of many particularly the street children.
Dut confirms that the celebration for John Bosco feast is very much attractive this year compared to years back.
Another choir member Celina Achol Akoc expresses her happiness for the celebration remembering the good things that St. Don Bosco had done during his live on earth.
John Bosco was born in August 16, 1815 and died on 31st of January 1888 Turin, Italy.
