Tonj County Commissioner of Tonj says SPLA-IO has begun the implementation of Revitalized Peace Agreement recently signed in Addis Abba, Ethiopia.
Severino Philip Bazia explains that he met with the opposition group in Robogany in Wau State to address issues of cattle migration, Don Bosco Radio report.
He says he asked them to open the roads going to the river side for cattle keepers to get water and pasture for their animals.
The commissioner also mentions that his visit to Robogany of Wau State caused more excitement to in opposition officers hence welcomed them happily.
He stresses that he had found the Tonj people and their cattle in the area indicating a good sign of peace.
‘I and Jur River County counterpart met with different ethnic groups from Jur land including chiefs, in opposition officers came to witness the event’, commissioner stresses.
He told the public not to misuse cows and crops because they are resources of South Sudan that can boost development.
The opposition groups are cooperating with the government of Tonj and Wau to ensure free movement of cattle in the area, he discloses.
