The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek Peace Commission desk is training youth from the cattle camps on conflict mitigation and management.
In his opening remarks, Diocesan Coordinator of Rumbek Diocese, Fr John Mathiang urges the young people to be ambassadors of peace and reconciliation to their brothers and sisters at their home areas, Good News Radio reports.
Justice and Peace Coordinator, Abraham Malual Wantok reveals that they brought young people from different places to train them on conflict mitigation and let them understand the importance of peace.
Wantok appeals to the general public to contribute positively for prevalence of peace and tranquility in Western Lakes State.
He asks the people to talk to young people from the cattle camps to be agents of peace and change.
The speakers made remarks to Good News Radio on Thursday during the commencement of the two-day workshop in Rumbek.
