Wau State government and United Nations Mission in South Sudan on Wednesday launched general cleaning campaign in affected areas of Wau town.
Voice of Hope Radio quoted Mayor Arkangelo Anyar Anyar saying the state government is conducting the campaign for IDPs to go back to their homes.
Governor of Wau State Angelo Taban Baijo encourages citizens to keep cleaning their areas as one of health safety and security measure.
He mentions that the government and UN agencies are working for citizens and IDPS in the camps to go back home and lead a normal life.
Some of the participants of the campaign express their gratitude to the state government and the UN for doing a great job in the areas.
The official and citizens made the remarks during the cleaning campaign at Jebel Rabiah checkpoint in Wau.
