Women rights are human rights, stresses activist

The chairlady of Human Rights Commission in Tonj State stressed that women rights in South Sudan are always violated in many ways.
 
Antenata Adhil Majook outlines women rights to eat, to choose a partner, to conceive, and to be treated when sick.
She blames some men who do not attend to their wives especially when they are pregnant.
 
Adhil explains that women in South Sudan do not rest from burdening duties and unfavorable love towards them by their husbands.
 
The chairlady accepted and seconded some moral cultural values to be recognized and practiced for the betterment of the country.
 
She warns men against mistreating women at homes and work places.
 
Adhil exposes that many men treat their wives like donkeys which is against their rights.
 
She acknowledged that women in South Sudan are doing a lot of domestic work like thatching of houses, fetching water and so on.
 
The official calls on government authorities and civil society organizations to consider women rights as human rights at all levels of work in the country.
 
The speaker spoke during an interview with Don Bosco radio on Monday in Tonj State headquarters.
